What does LameBrane mean?

Current thinking about the structure of the universe has many possible exotic concepts. One of those concepts uses super string theory to explain just about everything.

Super string theory tells of many new dimensions that we can't directly perceive with our senses. Those new dimensions extend down to the smallest subatomic particles where quarks, gluons and all kinds of crazy things exist, and beyond even that.

The tiniest of the dimensions eventually reduces everything to incomprehensibly small strings of pure energy. Some think they're loops, others think they're open ended strings, and the possibilties are endless.

In the opposite extreme, very large dimensions contain the entire universe as we know it. Those large dimensions are called branes, and the universe we know is spread out over one of the branes.

There are many other branes containing many other universes and the branes all wiggle and move around in those large dimensions. It's possible for branes to collide but usually they have no contact with each other. And it's a good thing that they don't because cataclysmic events happen if two branes happen to even momentarily touch each other at some point.

Most branes are well behaved, but one is sloppy and stumbles all over the place in the cosmos, constantly bumping into other branes and causing all kinds of trouble. That in fact is where our universe originated. The Big Bang, which in our view was the ultimate event that created everything, was in fact a mere insignificant spark in the greater cosmos, caused when the bad brane bumped into another for just an instant. That badly behaved brane is the Lame Brane.

Haven't you ever wondered why everything seems to go wrong all the time? Sure, who hasn't? It's because we live on the Lame Brane. Our universe and everything in it is saturated with the essence of the Lame Brane and is fundamentally flawed. So that's where we are and where we are going. We can't really fix it but we can learn to exist much more gracefully and cope with reality if we understand and embrace our true origin.
